The Dower House, Thetford Forest, Norfolk, NR16 2SE
Just inside the Norfolk border is the Dower House at the heart of the Thetford Forest. There is a feeling of being close to nature away from the stresses of everyday life. Take a picnic and enjoy one of the many cycle tracks to see the wonders of the Norfolk wildlife.  A short drive from the campsite there is local fishing lakes, horse riding and Thetford golf club.  Nearby is the only whiskey distillery in England.  On site is a large children’s play area, outdoor pool and The Travellers Rest pub with games room.

Woodhill Park, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 9PX
Woodhill Park is a short walk from Cromer where you can catch world famous Cromer Crabs on the Victorian pier – alternately buy them ready dressed from the numerous fishmongers.  Sheringham is only a cycle ride away. Both towns are very nostalgic with many quaint gift shops and cafes.  In the area is the Queen’s Norfolk estate Sandringham, the historic Walsingham, a place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages, and the National trust properties Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall.

The campsite itself is on a cliff top location with views of the coastline and surrounding countryside.  It offers plenty of things for the kids, play area, assault course sand pit, tennis, football and crazy golf.  They have all the usual facilities as well as a small shop and launderette.

Great Yarmouth Racecourse Caravan & Motorhome Club Site, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 4AU
This site is in the middle of the racecourse, 300 yards from the seafront.  The town of Great Yarmouth is a short and flat cycle ride from the site, where you can partake in the famous Pleasure Beach, see the model village or take a horse and carriage along the seafront. A short walk from the site will get you to the Greyhound racing where 3 times a week you can have a flutter.  If you want to do some shopping take your motorhome to one of the park and rides outside Norwich, where you will find a wide range of shops from independent department stores, most chain stores and the large daily market.

Roseberry Tourist Park, Willingham, Cambridge, CB24 5LT
A highly recommended site 10 miles outside Cambridge. There is a direct bus route and cycle path into the city. The world famous University City has plenty of sights to fill your days and I would definitely visit the Kings College Chapel.  The position of the campsite is very convenient for visiting the National Horse racing centre at Newmarket, and also racing at Huntingdon.  The excellent Duxford Imperial War Museum will keep you busy for a day – well worth a visit, all within easy reach of Roseberry.  The site is open all year round and has large pitches – ideal for our executive motorhomes.

St Margarets Caravan and Camping Site, Shottisham, Suffolk, IP12 3HD
This is a small family run site in the southern part of Suffolk.  The park is in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty with river, forest, heathland and coastal trails nearby.  The local pub is just 150m away and is recommended.  On site they keep Rare breed Chickens, Turkeys, Ducks, Pigs Sheep and Alpacas.  Places of local interest are Sutton Hoo, Southwold, Framlingham Castle and Orford Castle.  You are near to Felixstowe ferry port.

Borowaters Caravan and Camping Park and Fishing Lake, Southminster, CM0 7BH
This is a very basic site without electric hook-ups.  Otherwise this is a perfect place to relax and unwind.  The pitches are very spacious and there is lots of room for children to play in.  There is a local nature trail to keep them occupied, and it is possible at certain times to pitch up next to the well-stocked fishing lake.  Lots of local shops are nearby and other attractions include horse-riding, local swimming pool and the Rio Cinema which is one of the oldest in the area.
